A human-sized, androgynous, ingenuous puppet sees the daily life of five characters who barely seem to notice it.
They are all equipped with technological prostheses which, to varying degrees, help them live: an artificial leg, a pacemaker, an ocular implant… Or more simply headphones, Smartphones, a virtual reality headset…
Despite their obvious loneliness, we gradually come to understand that these characters are all interconnected. Maybe even to the puppet itself, whose face has the strange capacity of changing according to the situation and its surrondings…
Through the pixilation technique, the movements of the puppet will be perfectly smooth and organic, whereas the humans around it will be animated with strange and jerky movements. In a both playful and subversive way, our ordinary world is thus questioned through the gaze of SWAMP.
SWAMP is an animated web-series made up of five episodes and an epilogue which will be accessible via an original web interface and a Smartphones and tablet application (total length of the animation: 28 minutes). Swamp will also have the linear version of a short film for festivals, television and cinemas.
