STRANGER EYES by Yeo Siew Hua had its French premiere at the Festival Allers Retours in February 2025, followed by the Vesoul International Asian Cinema Festival!

It will also be screened at the Tours International Asian Cinema Festival on March 23 at 2:15 PM.

In April, the film will be at Reims Polar and Quais du Polar on April 4 at 8:30 PM.

THE FLATS – January’s French and Belgian festival selections

This month, THE FLATS will be screened at the Carcassonne International Political Film Festival on January 17 and 20, then at the En Ville! Festival on January 31st !

These last screenings will be followed by the theatrical release of the film. Congratulations to the director and her team!

Distributed in France by Les Alchimistes, it is sold internationally by The Party Film Sales.

DO YOU LOVE ME by Lana Daher has been selected for the Rough Cut Presentations at the IDFA Forum, where it will be presented by the director and the producer. A love song to Beirut, this archival film delves into the Lebanese psyche by exploring 70 years of public, private, cinematic, and television archives.

Continuing its exceptional festival journey, THE FLATS by Alessandra Celesia will be screened in the Best of Fests section at IDFA. Recently rewarded at the Festival dei Popoli (Italy), it will soon be shown at the Gijón Film Festival (Spain), RIDM in Montreal (Canada), and Porto Post Doc (Portugal).

2006 – World premiere in competition at Winterthur

2006, Gabriella Choueifaty’s first short film, will have its world premiere at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage in Winterthur, Switzerland.

In 2006, as Israeli bombs rain down on Lebanon, a mother and her daughters live confined to the heights of Beirut, as if nothing had happened. Sharp tensions soon arise between the two sisters.

Screenings on 07 and 09/11 in the presence of the director as part of the WE CAN BE HEROES program.

Congratulations to Gabriella and all the team behind the film, shot last year in Lebanon. A special thought for the Middle East in these dark hours.

STRANGER EYES in October

After its world premiere in Venice in September, STRANGER EYES has been selected for the New York Film Festival, where it will have its North American premiere on September 28 and 30 in the presence of director Yeo Siew Hua.

A third date is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at 9:45pm.

The film will then cross the Atlantic Ocean for its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 13 and 14 at 8:30pm.

Well done to the director and all the film’s team, this journey of international distribution has only just begun!

THE MECANICS OF THINGS in Torino film festival

After its run at Lussas f film documentary festival this summer, the film will be screened on November 25 at the Torino Film Festival. It is in competition in the Italian documentary category. Director Alessandra Celesia will be present.

November 25th at 7:15pm
November 26th at 11am
and November 27th at 2:30pm

A GLORIOUS DAY by Romuald Rodrigues Andrade & Ludovic Aklil Piette continues to tour in festivals in France and abroad.

The short film was selected inthe Alter-Native Int. Short Film Festival (03/11), in Poland at Lublin Festival (17/11) and the Ale Kino! Festival in Poznan (29/11). It will also be shown in Morocco at Festival Cinema et Migration in Agadir (from 13 to 18/11) and at Schulkinowoche in Hamburg, Germany (from 20/11 to 01/12). In France, you can catch it at Africlap in Toulouse on 17/11 in Ludovic’s presence and at Festival Education movie d’Évreux on 08/12 in the presence of Romuald.

The Mechanics of Things premiere at the Etats Généraux du Film documentaire in Lussas

Alessandra Celesia’s feature-length film has been selected to take part in Expériences du regard at the Etats Généraux du Film documentaire in Lussas. Screening on August 24th at 9pm with the director and part of the crew! The film will be distributed in France by Tangente Distribution and theatrically released at the end of November.

My cat fell from the 8th floor. And he survived. This is how the story started. A true story, that of my cat Tito and the adventures, animal and human, that ensued.

LES PLUIES D’ÉTÉ Shooting in Lebanon

Gabriella Choueifaty’s first short film, LES PLUIES D’ÉTÉ, has just begun shooting in Lebanon.
Summer 2006, the war rages on and Israeli bombardments rain down on Beirut. The story follows the daily lives of Sariah (13 years old), her older sister and her mother, forced to take refuge in the mountains. Tension mounts between the three women, who react differently to this forced quarantine.

LES PLUIES D’ÉTÉ is a Franco-Lebanese co-production with Né à Beyrouth Films.

With support from CNC, Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France Télévisions, Fonds Image de la Francophonie (OIF), MEDIA Europe Créative, Région Sud (development), Ville de Marseille, Procirep-Angoa.
