This is the second short film by Romuald Rodrigues Andrade with Films de Force Majeure after Get Lost.

Cédric, an 18-year-old black boy is about to take his final exams. Convinced that his future lies far from his social housing estate in the South of France, his dream is to go to London with his childhood friend, Farès who finds it hard to escape the bad influence of his neighbourhood. On a stadium, facing racist provocations, their friendship is put to the test, to the point of clashing.

GAME GIRLS follows Teri and her girlfriend Tiahna as they navigate their relationship through the chaotic world of Los Angeles’ Skid Row, aka the “homeless capital of the U.S.” A dilemma fuels the tension between the two women: while Tiahna seems comfortable being a player in the underground economy of Skid Row, Teri is driven by a powerful desire to get out. Together with other women from the neighborhood, they attend a weekly Expressive Arts workshop where they are looking to reflect, dream, and heal. Can their love survive the violence of their past and their current environment?

Meg Stuart, Benoît Lachambre and Simone Aughterlony, dancers and choreographers, meet Lidia, Michel and Noël, with already weakened bodies. All are preparing to live a unique experience, in the sumptuous setting of the Opéra de la Monnaie.
In an unexpected way, physical and lyrical, BEFORE WE GO lifts the veil on a still taboo subject – the end of life – by bringing together all the arts in a true tribute to life and human fragility.

As a portrait of a housing project with astonishing shapes (La Maladrerie near Paris), SONGS NEXT DOOR by Flavie Pinatel is a documentary of a different kind, since the protagonists express themselves through songs and not through speech. Implicitly, Flavie describes poetically how people live together in France in 2016.

With these 30 spots made in 2011 as part of a carte blanche, Alexander Schellow keeps on working on the remembering process through drawings and animation, this time based on scenes he observed in Marseille. Made up of 3-second animations looped and interrupted by black screens, the spots appear and disappear before we can really grasp them, as if they were memories subconsciously entering our perception.
